Flygon has always been one of my favorites. This was challenging. This is the first time I've done anything like this before. You all know, RJ Palmer correct?(:iconarvalis:) Well, if you don't you are missing out on some amazing artwork. He's provided me with some inspiration and got me to get creative. This is a tribute to his pokemon artwork, and I hope you guys like it. This will probably be my only one... (update: it's not, I also did a Glalie one)

THOUGHTS BEHING THE PIECE:
- I felt when most people try to make Flygon realistic, they either didn't know about or forget that he's also based on antlions and/or dragonflies. They go all out dragon on him/her. I really wanted to incorporate a lot of adult antlion features into this realistic take.

This is an awesome take on Flygon. Since everyone really does make it completely dragon, this is a really unique and believable approach. :D

i love the take trapinch way more than the flygon honestly

your others have surpassed this by a long shot.
i look foward to your next, though i wasnt as impressed with this one as the previous poke's
