|POINT DONATIONS ANYONE?|
|Someone commented on my Hana -Remake- and asked for some tips on drawing/illustrating. And i thought I'd share them via journal.|
Here they are:
-The face is about five eyes wide.
-The elbow lines up with the belly button, and the wrist lines up with the groin area.
-Hipbones and learning how body parts bend and move are essential.
-*Learn how other body parts move and bend also moves and bends other connected parts (i.e. arms to shoulderblade)
-Learn to put more values of color (more levels of shade, and highlights)
-Know where/objects things make shadows on other objects
-Very important you know the difference between warm and cool colors
-"Warm" light creates a "cool" *shadow
-Eyes are NOT stark white, they are spherical and eyelids give off a shadow under them*(when you color eyes make sure they aren't stark white color, more of a much lighter value of the skin)
COMPOSITION & OTHER TIPS:
-Try and figure out where you have negative space and make use of it or get rid of it.
-Make sure you know that if you have characters you want the audience to pay attention to, they should be the center of attention by putting more detail on them that the background.
-The farther away something gets to the horizon line, it gets a bit more hazy/misty/blurry
-Try not smudging and blurring so much, use your brushes to blend instead of smudge. There are a lot of free brush downloads you can use out there.
I hope this helps guys! I will put this in a custom box once I get a premium subscription.
